The Twin Cities chapter of Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) and the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) at the University of Minnesota hosted a symposium and a paint and powder coating expo at Century College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota on March 18-19.

The symposium was held on March 18 and focused on "Maximizing Performance from Individuals and Teams,"  presented by Judy Hartley, an independent performance consultant/facilitator specializing in leadership and team development and an Adjunct Faculty Member, University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and a member of the Manufacturers Alliance.

Also on Wednesday, the Iowa Waste Reduction Center provided painter training, where trainers worked with attendees to improve finishing techniques on virtual reality spray equipment.  The training covered the fundamentals of spray application and focused on best practices to optimize spray technique to improve productivity, reduce rework and defects, and decrease air emissions. 

 

The Expo included a vendor show, hands-on demonstrations and technical seminars.
