Q. Can a hybrid powder provide enough UV protection to be used for an outdoor application? Most of our metal furniture is used indoors, but we have an increasing interest in outdoor furniture, and we would like to be able to use the same powder. J.C.

A. No, a hybrid powder has very modest UV resistance, and it is not suitable for direct exposure to sunlight. You will need to consider a polyester powder formulated as a urethane or TGIC to get the outdoor protection you need. If you need exceptional outdoor protection, you can go to super-durable polyester.
