Fabtech returns to Las Vegas Nov. 16-18 with the Chemical Coaters Association International’s Finishing Pavilion larger than ever, with almost 200 exhibitors and more than 100 educational and training sessions on finishing, fabricating, welding, stamping and more.

Now in its seventh year, CCAI’s Finishing Pavilion—located inside Fabtech at the Las Vegas Convention Center—serves as a technical marketplace where attendees can connect with top suppliers, enhance their coating processes and explore the latest innovations in topics such as liquid and powder coatings, ovens, parts cleaning, pretreatment and other finishing applications.

Many attendees come ready to meet industry professionals, inspect finishing products and processes and, most importantly, ask questions.

Several years ago, Michael Siegel and Doug Brady purchased iDeal Aluminum Products, a Florida-based manufacturer of aluminum fences, railings and gates and soon moved into a new 145,000-square-foot facility. The move required finding a company to install a new powder coating system that could handle parts as long as 55 feet.

Siegel and Brady sought out integrators at Fabtech to see who could best facilitate their operational plan. They walked the show floor with copies of their documents in hand, meeting with spray and booth equipment manufacturers to discuss product lines and features. They also met with several system integrators to see who had the best ideas for taking iDeal’s wish list and building the new system.

“We became very good prospects at the show,” Brady says. “Before we knew it, we were a very hot lead.” After the show, Siegel and Brady connected with a company that took iDeal’s design and offered a different approach, providing more flexibility and minimizing floor space required. The Fabtech experience delivers all of that for attendees.

“In today’s manufacturing atmosphere, companies must do everything they can to keep a competitive edge for their business,” says Anne Goyer, CCAI’s executive director. “That means finishers need to be using the most innovative technologies, training their staff and keeping up on new and developing products and services.”

Boxing legend and entrepreneur Sugar Ray Leonard delivers Fabtech’s opening keynote address at 9 a.m. on Nov. 16, alongside numerous speakers and expert panelists.

The finishing presentations include everything from ‘The Basics of a Successful Powder Coating Operation,’ to ‘Advanced Electrocoating Concepts,’ all of which are led by some of the top finishing experts in the industry.

CCAI is offering 30 percent off any finishing educational session by using code FINISHING30 at fabtechexpo.com when registering. This offer is only available for CCAI’s finishing sessions.  Attendees can register for exhibits for free until Nov. 11 by entering code FBGUEST during the online registration process.

Fabtech is sponsored by CCAI, the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International, SME, the Precision Metalforming Association and the American Welding Society.
