Old Bridge Chemicals (OB), a manufacturer of copper and zinc compounds, will spend more than $3 million to expand its zinc-sulfate manufacturing operations in New Jersey and more than double its capacity. A ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Old Bridge Township Mayor Owen Henry and other local officials took place recently on the company’s 64,000-square-foot campus.

“This most recent milestone continues to advance the quality and reliability of OB’s high-performance zinc-sulfate products while showcasing our strong ties to the Old Bridge community,” says Bruce Bzura, OB president.

The new zinc-sulfate operation has resulted in the hiring of more than a dozen new employees, and the company anticipates additional recruitment as well. The expansion also coincides with the recent installation of a new continuous vacuum filtration system that the company says has resulted in increased efficiencies.

“2018 continues to be an exciting year of innovation for OB,” says Joel Bzura, executive vice president. “This expansion further supports our 24/7 capabilities to provide our customers products on time, every time.”
