Control Electropolishing in New York City celebrated its 60th anniversary by opening new administrative offices in the Queens’ Atlas Park Mall. The production facility remains in the Williamsburg area on Walworth Street.

Nancy Zapata-Acosta is the president/owner of the firm. She purchased it 28 years ago after working for the company for 10 years. Manuel Acosta, her husband, is the director of operations and Lina De La Cruz, her daughter, is the vice president of operations.

Special guests at the ribbon cutting ceremony included Frank Lang and Beatrice Brown of St. Nicks Alliance, a group that supports affordable housing and workforce development (Zapata-Acosta is president emeritus); Evelyn Cruz, representing Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez; State Senator Joseph Addabbo Jr.; Assemblyman Michael Miller’s office representative; and Brendan Leavy of the Queens Chamber of Commerce.
