GM Materials Approves Coventya's Tristar 300

Coventya has gained General Motors’ materials approved source list approval for its Tristar 300 trivalent chromium process to meet color master 495Y and minimum performance requirements for decorative chromium-plated plastic parts, in accordance to GM Specification GMW 14668 Code B Type 4.
Tristar 300 is said to provide remarkably uniform performance over a wide range of current densities and operating conditions in an economical manner. According to the company, this process offers outstanding deposit coverage, even in very low current density areas, as well as outstanding tolerance to current interruption and intermittent contact during the chrome plating portion of the finishing cycle. It is said the additives needed to operate the Tristar 300 Process are simple to monitor and control, and provide excellent stability under all reasonable operating conditions, and cost-effective to use.
