NASF Sur/Fin Abstract Deadline is December 15

The Sur/Fin committee is looking for experts from around the world to give exclusive, informative, non-commercial orientated presentations on the latest surface engineering and finishing technologies available today, or what is being planned in the near future.

Abstracts are being accepted for the National Association for Surface Finishing’s surface finishing conference, Sur/Fin, which will be held June 4-6, in Cleveland Ohio. Submissions are due December 15, and preference will be given to early submittals.

The Sur/Fin committee is looking for experts from around the world to give exclusive, informative, non-commercial orientated presentations on the latest surface engineering and finishing technologies available today, or what is being planned in the near future.

Sur/Fin is organized by the NASF and provides a dynamic venue at which to explore existing and state-of-the-art technology with suppliers, OEMs and applicators for gaining insight toward improving surface finishing operations.

SUR/FIN is a global surface finishing industry's premier event where professionals from around the world share ideas and experiences to help gain insight on practical applications, solve problems, discuss productivity improvements and introduce new technologies.

The NASF says the following should consider presenting:

  • Companies with new processes, approaches or equipment that provide significantly improved results or performance. We are looking for non-commercial focused efforts from individuals who are able to engage and speak to large groups of their peers on topics that are interesting for industry.
  • People involved in academia, production, engineering, R&D, and testing or evaluations in coatings or surface treatments are encouraged to present their results and conclusions.

Based on the subject matter of submitted abstracts, the NASF Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) will determine the best conference session for the proposed presentation. Authors will be notified of the Conference Session in which the presentation will be best suited.
