The seventh annual PaintExpo, held in Germany in April, attracted 537 exhibitors from 29 countries, making it one of the world’s leading trade fairs for industrial coating technology. The number of attendees increased as well this year by roughly 12 percent to 11,790 hailing from 88 countries.
“The quality of the visitors is outstanding, which means that we’ve not only been able to establish very interesting contacts and get to know important people, we also received several good orders directly at the event,” says John Richardson, marketing communications manager of British Carlisle Fluid Technologies. “Beyond this, the trade fair is an excellent networking opportunity for us.”
Many of the 537 exhibitors who participated at this year’s event expressed similar levels of satisfaction.
The proportion of companies from outside of Germany was 36.3 percent, roughly 5 percent greater than in 2016. The seventh PaintExpo also experienced a sharp rise in net exhibition floor space, amounting to 16.6 percent for a total of 168,700 square feet. As a result, the event was evenly distributed over three well-occupied halls at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre for the first time ever.
“PaintExpo has developed very well in recent years,” says Martin Weidisch, senior marketing specialist at J. Wagner GmbH. “It’s the industry sector’s leading trade fair where people meet every second year, and PaintExpo is an essential constituent of our trade fair schedule.”
Organizers say one of the reasons for PaintExpo’s strong appeal for users from all over the world is its unique concentration of companies from the field of industrial coating technology. They say this results in comprehensive and targeted product and service offerings ranging from pretreatment to painting, systems and applications technology, to final inspection and packaging.
The next PaintExpo will take place at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre April 21-24, 2020. For information, visit paintexpo.com.
