Parts Cleaning Conference to Cover Trends and Technology

The Trends and Technology session is where industry professionals will present on such topics as CO2-based technologies, Industry 4.0 in parts cleaning, switching to fluorinated solvents and much more. This is the third article in a series about the 2019 Parts Cleaning Conference.

On Wednesday, April 3, to Thursday, April 4, the 2019 Parts Cleaning Conference, held in conjunction with PMTS 2019, in Cleveland, Ohio, will present the Trends and Technology session, where industry professionals will present on such topics as CO2-based technologies, Industry 4.0 in parts cleaning, switching to fluorinated solvents and much more.

Beginning on April 3 at 12:30 p.m., registered attendees will learn more about emerging technologies in aqueous cleaning from Chris Berger at Calvary Industries. Another presentation from Nelson Sorbo, Ph.D., Cool Clean Technologies LLC, will summarize the key CO2-based technologies to this environmentally friendly dry method of cleaning, cooling and extraction challenges. Next, André Lohse at Sita Messtechnik GmbH will present “Cleanliness Inspection within Seconds: Monitor, Understand and Improve your Cleaning.” The last presentation of the day will be from Gerhard Koblenzer at LPW Reinigungssysteme GmbH. He will talk about the capabilities and limitations of ultrasonic cleaning and the opportunities of the cyclic nucleation process.

Continuing the conference’s Trends and Technology session, on April 4, beginning at 8 a.m., Irvin Loza and David Jackson from Hitachi High-Tech America will present “CO2 Technology Implementations.” Next, Michael Geanous from Blackstone-Ney Ultrasonics will give a review of current technologies and how to develop a cleaning process to match the overall project and production goals. “The Influence and Future of Industry 4.0 and Digitalization in Industrial Parts  Cleaning,” by Sandro Siminovich, Ecoclean Inc. will leave attendees with a thorough understanding of possible solutions, trends, capabilities, advantages and pitfalls of remote connectivity. Then, Venesia Hurtubise from MicroCare will present “Switching from Legacy Solvents to Modern Fluorinated Solvents.” Finally, for the last presentation of the session, Joe McChesney from Kyzen will talk about “Modified Alcohol in a Vacuum Degreasing Process.”
