"On the cover of the Rolling Stone ..." is a song written by the wonderful Shel Silverstein and first recorded by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. Well, Products Finishing magazine gave visitors to the North American Industrial Coating Show in Cincinnati (Oct 4-6) a chance to put themselves on the cover of the finishing industries' No. 1 publication.
Our magazine set up a "photo studio" in our booth, with Senior Managing Editor Kate Hand and Marketing Manager Jessica Franks manning the photo shoot to put visitors on the cover of the magazine in a matter of minutes.
Once the image was taken and placed on the "cover," the subjects chose their own headlines: Coater of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, and so on. We then emailed the digital image to the "cover models" so they could share with everyone ... and gloat, of course!
