NASF Connecticut Chapter Meeting

Cyanide Destruction – A New Look at an Age Old Problem

Ms. Robin Tiede and Mr. Matt Hansen of Hubbard Hall will be the guest
speakers. If you have or still use cyanide in your electroplating operations, you are
well aware of the chemical benefits of this intermediate as well as the complications
related to its neutralization and disposal. Tried and true technologies involving
chlorine in one species or another are well documented. However, are you aware and
up-to-date on new and novel technical aspects to handle this necessary chore? Our speakers will share new insights in the handling and neutralization of cyanide.

Guest Speakers:

  • Robin Tiede is an environmental specialist and has been with Hubbard-Hall for 19 years. Formerly, she handled troubleshooting responsibilities for the Mitchell-Bradford Co. before they became part of Hubbard-Hall.
  • Matt Hansen is a Hubbard-Hall field engineer with 20+ years of experience in the metal finishing industry. Matt’s focus of expertise is in membrane filtration related to printed circuit boards.
