Asterion will host a Certified Electroplater-Finisher (CEF) training course to be presented by the AESF Foundation April 30-May 4, at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana.
This initial training course consists of 40 hours of classroom instruction in the basics of electroplating and surface finishing technology, running the gamut from electro-chemistry to anodizing, copper plating, nickel plating, zinc plating, corrosion protection, rinsing and cleaning. Upon course completion, the student has the option of sitting for a 2.5-hour exam, which can result in him or her receiving the CEF title. This exam will be offered on Friday, May 4.
The CEF designation is the only worldwide recognized certification in the plating industry. There are several levels of CEF certification, and each level is achieved by completing a different course and exam beyond this initial CEF training.
Participants are responsible for their travel, lodging and the NASF course instruction fee, which includes the administration of the CEF exam. Asterion will provide complimentary daily luncheons, dinners and refreshments at breaks. The company also has arranged for a block of rooms at the Drury Plaza Hotel, at a discounted rate of $129 per night. Call 800-325-0720 to make hotel reservations, and note group number 2334073.
To register for the CEF training course, contact your local Asterion representative or email bvandivier@asterionstc.com.
