The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) is hosting the first Women in Finishing (WiF) Forum May 9-11 in South Bend, Indiana, to offer meaningful presentations and networking opportunities to women in the industrial finishing community.

CCAI began its Women in Finishing initiative with a networking reception at FABTECH 2017 in Chicago. They say the response exceeded expectations, leading to the official establishment of Women in Finishing under CCAI. 2019 will feature the expansion of WiF programming, including the Women in Finishing Forum.

The Forum will feature a variety of professional and personal development sessions, and workshops geared toward women, as well as networking and team building activities. Topics to be covered include Effectively Navigating Conflict, Building a Championship Mindset, Impact of Wellness on Success, and Successful Finishing Career Journeys from Women in the Finishing Industry.

“We are thrilled with the response to our WiF reception at FABTECH the past two years and are excited to grow WiF programming to further meet the needs of women in industrial finishing,” says Sheila LaMothe, CCAI’s vice president of strategic initiatives. “Our inaugural WiF Forum is a major step toward achieving this goal. Holding the event at the University of Notre Dame provides access to unique speakers who will complement our industry experts resulting in an outstanding, well-rounded program.”
