Top Shops: Order Lead Time for Liquid, Powder Coaters

In the latest Products Finishing Top Shop Benchmarking Survey for the liquid and powder coating sector, the Top Shops had an order lead time of roughly 10 days, while those not in the top 80th percentile had just a three-day turnaround.

A lead time is the period between the initiation and execution of a process, and lead time reduction is an important part of lean manufacturing. In the latest Products Finishing Top Shop Benchmarking Survey for the liquid and powder coating sector, the Top Shops had an order lead time of roughly 10 days, while those not in the top 80th percentile had just a three-day turnaround. The median overall ws 5 days, and the mean was just over 22 days.
