Dust emissions are reduced considerably when AbranetTM, an abrasive, is used in sanding operations. The abrasive is said to contribute significantly to a dust-free working environment reducing airborne emissions by 99% or more. This has benefits in a number of manufacturing and process industries where health and safety issues are crucial. It can be used for a range of sanding applications such as paints, fillers, primers, topcoats and clear coats as well as composites, aluminum, soft woods and MDF where dust can be a considerable problem. Dust has also been identified as a potential carcinogen, so its elimination on health grounds alone is important.
