Designed for gritblast surface preparation of large aircraft engine components, the SP-12 blast cabinet has a work envelope of 6 × 6 × 6 ft. The unit features a 48-inch diameter, 100-lb capacity urethane-lined powered table that can be rotated in any direction either automatically or manually at adjustable speeds. Other features include an extra blast gun for hand-held operation at an interlocked manual touch-up station, a full-depth access door on both sides of the cabinet, a safety interlock that prevents blast machine operation when a door is open, and three programmable suction-blast guns  with a stroke of 36 inches. Once operators program the start position, number of traverse strokes, blast duration, table speed and other parameters, operation is automatic to provide high process repeatability on a number of parts.
