Aluminum Oxide Depressed Center Wheels Offer Fast Cut Rate

Norton Abrasives introduces the Gemini XXL, 100 percent aluminum oxide depressed center wheels designed for fast grinding.

Norton Abrasives introduces the Gemini XXL, 100 percent aluminum oxide depressed center wheels designed for fast grinding. Said to provide 50 percent more life and metal removal than standard aluminum oxide wheels, they are well-suited for hard-grade carbon steel applications, weld repairs, flashing and jobs that require quick turnaround.

The wheels feature quality, aluminum oxide abrasive for consistent, maximum performance, the company says. They are available in ¼" Type 27 wheels in diameters ranging from 4½ " to 9" and heights of ⅞" and ⅝-11" – 10 SKU’s in total.

According to the company, the wheels removed 43 percent more material and performed 106 percent better than a competitive wheel for an annual savings of more than $5,700 in field tests.
