Fluidaire Cleaning Services has installed a vacuum pyrolysis furnace in the applications lab at its New Brunswick, N.J., facility. The VacuClean 254T, supplied by Germany’s Schwing Fluid Technik GmbH, is designed for thermal cleaning of parts such as dies, spinpacks, breaker plates, manifolds, screws and filters. It features a built-in catalytic converter for pollution management of off-gases, low energy consumption, internal sensors to prevent thermal damage on parts, software functions for preheating or drying, space-saving side loading, and a variety of safety and pollution controls.

Fluidaire is a joint venture between New Jersey-based Procedyne and Schwing that supplies systems for injection molding, blown film, filament, fiber, resin manufacturing and more.
