BASF’s Elastollan thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) are designed to offer all-around security for wire and cable applications in the aerospace, automotive and industrial markets.

Elastollan 1185A10HFFR is a low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant TPU for high-performance wire and cable applications. This polyether-based compound is designed for improved abrasion resistance and toughness, low-temperature flexibility, hydrolytic stability and fungus resistance. Elastollan 785A10HPM is a high-temperature TPU for continuous use at 150°C in automotive and wire and cable applications. It is said to exhibit improved compression set, surface reproducibility, and resistance chemicals and fuels, and has multifaceted haptic possibilities that range from velvety to leather-like.
