Grieve’s No. 988 is an electrically-heated, 650º F top-loading batch oven specifically designed for use in processing electronic components.  The batch oven features 6” insulated walls throughout, dimensions of 12’ w x 1’ d x 1’ h, a 600 CFM, ½ hp recirculating blower provides back-to-front horizontal airflow to the workload. Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements heat the unit, which includes type 304 stainless steel interior, a manual, counterweighted rear-hinged door, access doors at each end of the oven, aluminized steel exterior, swivel casters with swivel locks and wheel brakes for easy in-plant portability, and a workspace floor reinforced for 100 lb. loading capacity. Controls on the unit include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, and recirculating blower airflow safety switch.
