Bel Air Finishing Supply offers a “dry process media” technology for super-polishing and finishing aerospace and aircraft blades, blisks, and other engine and compressor components. No water is needed in most cases, reducing the cost and mess associated with wet processing and wastewater treatment and disposal. The equipment occupies a small footprint, enabling manufactures to bring the entire polishing process in-house. The process is designed to be repeatable, produce low surface Ra measurements and reduce finishing time. According to Bel Air, the system can reduce reliance on subcontractors and the cost of shipping.
