The in-house BC40 TRU TEMP® black oxide finishing system is designed to produce high-quality black finishes on iron and steel components in less than 20 min. The seven-tank line uses a patented two-step chemistry that produces a true black magnetite finiishi of 0.000020-inch thickness, satin black in appearance and comparable to conventional hot oxide. The proccess contains no EPA regulated chemicals, so there is usually no need for waste treatment equipment.
