The Thermo Scientific Dionex Corona Veo charged aerosol detector combines high-resolution liquid chromatography with the near-universal capabilities of charged aerosol detection to analyze copper plating bath additives such as the accelerator, leveler and suppressor.

The Thermo Scientific Dionex Corona Veo charged aerosol detector combines high-resolution liquid chromatography with the near-universal capabilities of charged aerosol detection to analyze copper plating bath additives such as the accelerator, leveler and suppressor. According to the company, such analysis requires accurate and precise measurement of both organic and polymeric compounds in a matrix containing sulfuric acid and copper sulfate. These additives lack a suitable chromophore, so sensitive detection using ultraviolet absorption is not possible. In nickel plating baths, the detector can be used for non-chromophoric sodium dodecyl sulfate measurements.
