Col-Met Spray Booths’ Cartridge Collectors have a purge control feature that maintains airflow at design levels by periodically activating valves that clear the cartridge filters of built-up powder. This is designed to reclaim more powder, extend the life of the filters and allow for a consistent powder application by maintaining airflow. HEPA-type filters are used on the exhaust system.

The collector uses a direct-drive, spark-proof plug fan for safety, and all modules are controlled by a variable frequency drive, which alleviates the need for a damper system and increases fan motor life. All models also include a pulse-off system and powder collection drawers, and a fluidized bed is available as an option.
