FlexdeburrTM 340 is a patented, radially compliant deburring tool that is said to satisfy 90% of all robotic and automated deburring applications. The deburring tool has a unique "floating" motor and spindle arrangement that provides the deburring tip's radial compliance to perform consistently on irregular part patterns. Problematical burrs, residual to most casting, extruding and machining operations, must be removed for operational, safety and aesthetic reasons. The inherent design of the pneumatically controlled tool is designed to allow the cutting bit to accurately follow the part profile, maintaining a constant force of the cutting tool on the machined surface. The tool is suited for removing flash and parting lines on die cast parts. The tool has an air-turbine motor and spindle arrangement mounted within a housing and uses a pivot bearing to provide the radial movement.
