The Elcometer 130 salt contamination meter is designed to measure soluble salts more accurately, more easily and faster than other test methods. The portable, handheld gage can be used onsite or in the laboratory, and can carry out 24 tests per hour, the company says.

Features include automatic temperature compensation for repeatable and accurate results, and a calibration offset function that allows less-than-pure water to be used for testing, automatically adjusting the reading to take into consideration the conductivity of the water used. The gage offers memory capacity of as many as 150,000 readings in 2,500 alpha numeric batches, with individual readings stored with date and time stamp, temperature and size of test paper. It can measure salt contamination of as much as 50 μg/cm² (3,000 ppm) on flat or curved surfaces.

Data can be transferred via Bluetooth to ElcoMaster 2.0 data management software to enable professional inspection reports to be sent virtually anywhere instantly. The gage’s heavy-duty, impact-resistant, dust-and waterproof design make it well-suited for harsh environments.
