Kaselco Water Treatment Solutions will highlight its Sur-Flo electrocoagulation water treatment system, which was specifically designed to remove contamination from plating operations without the use of additional chemicals. Electrocoagulation can remove chrome, zinc, hexavalent chrome, nickel, lead and other contaminants to below detection limits, the company says. In many cases, the discharge water can be cleaned for use as rinse water for the plating process.

According to Kaselco, electrocoagulation offers a variety of benefits over traditional water treatment processes, including less sludge generation, inert sludge that can pass most TCLP requirements, reduced operational costs and reduced chemical usage.
