No. 704 is a gas-fired walk-in oven which is currently being used for curing resin and paint finishes on metal and plastic parts. The total heat input is 800,000 Btu/hr, which provides a maximum operating temperature of 500°F. The workspace dimensions measure 12 x 20 x 8 feet and the insulation measures 4 inches throughout. A 15-hp recirculating blower provides a combination airflow at 17,500 cfm. This oven is equipped with the safety equipment required by OHSA when using a gas-fired unit to process flammable solvents. These safety features include: a 975 cfm powered forced exhauster which has an airflow safety switch, a programmable controller, a motorized back-up valve and test device, a recording thermometer purge timer, a vent valve, a manual reset excess temperature controller, a recirculating blower air flow safety switch, hi/lo gas pressure safety switches and a latch type manual reset safety valve.
