Cepex introduces a range of butterfly valves especially suitable for chemical and water treatment applications in the finishing industry. Designed to avoid corrosion problems in demanding conditions, the heavy-duty valves have high impact resistance and light weight that facilitates installation and reduces freight costs, according to the company. Valves have a one-piece glass-filled polypropylene body, a new disc design said to minimize pressure loss and turbulence in the line, stainless steel shaft and a full body linear seal with special antifriction ring. Rated to 150 psi at 73ºF, they are available in a variety of materials, sizes from 2–12 inch diameter, and electric or pneumatic actuation options.
