Hedson Technologies’ IRT-Booster is designed to supplement paint curing processes, increasing goods temperature to improve process effectivity and production rates. The infrared system can be placed before convection and drying ovens in a variety of conveyor wet and dry paint processes, taking about one minute to reach 180°C (356°F) and about three minutes holding time for powder coating, the company says.The system immediately shuts down when not in use, resulting in lowered energy consumption. It also requires very little space and can be added to an existing layout without much intervention, Hedson says.
This alternative to TGIC-based polyester powder coatings offers similar performance and enhanced transfer efficiencies.
