Available from UPA Technology, the OptiSense Paintchecker mobile laser uses photothermal technology to quickly and accurately measure wet or dry paints, electrocoatings, adhesives, epoxy, and other powder and organic finishes. This technology is designed to capture the heat signature that is reflected off the substrate to deliver exact measurements prior to the drying, baking or curing process. This provides reduced costs and improved quality, and maximizes production efficiencies, the company says. It is suitable for measuring both solvent- and water-based paint products on a variety of substrates, including metal, extruded rubber and ceramics.
