Phosphorus-Free Pretreatment Can Be Used on Multiple Substrates

Chemetall, a global business unit of the Coatings division of BASF, will introduce its Gardobond X 4548 pretreatment, which can be used with multiple substrates, and is compatible with mild steel equipment and tap water.

Chemetall US, Inc, a global business unit of the Coatings division of BASF, will introduce its Gardobond X 4548 pretreatment, which can be used with multiple substrates, and is compatible with mild steel equipment and tap water. The pretreatment is phosphorus-free and contains no regulated heavy metals.

The company also will introduce Gardobond A 4002, an iron phosphate with a wide operating range said to make it easy to use and control.
