Well-suited for use in quality assurance, incoming inspection and process control, Fischer Technology, Inc.’s Fischerscope X-ray XAN 500 is a mobile and energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence instrument designed for nondestructive coating thickness measurement and material analysis. It can be used to measure large coated parts such as machine components and housings, in electroplating shops, on precious metals, and for determining metal content in electroplating baths (solution analysis). Its small size also makes it suited for use with difficult geometries. The device also features a modern silicon drift detector designed to achieve high accuracy and good detection sensitivity.
