Pretreatment Coatings Specially Formulated for Aluminum Processors
Henkel creates REACH-compliant, chromium-free Bonderite products for etch passivation and corrosion protection.
Henkel has formulated its conversion coatings for aluminum processors to offer customers more sustainability and cost efficiency in metal pretreatment. Bonderite C-IC 65001, Bonderite M-NT 2040 R9 and Bonderite M-NT 65000 are REACh-compliant, chromium-free products designed for etch passivation and corrosion protection.
The company says that the chromium free status of the products enables the toxicity labeling to be removed and reduces the user’s carbon footprint thanks to fewer active steps. The products are also said to provide significant reductions in product and water consumption.
According to the company, the products were developed for a range of aluminum applications in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, railways, architectural, agriculture, furniture and lighting.
