Question: How can we color differentiate small parts that are similar to each other but have different size threads?

How can we color differentiate small parts that are similar to each other but have different size threads? The parts are zinc plated and then have a chromate conversion coating applied. O.C.

Answer:

The solution to your problem is easier than you may think. Chromate conversion coatings, at least the so-called blue/bright coatings, can be easily colored or dyed. The vendor of your chromate conversion coating should be able to help you out.
