Products Finishing Top Shops Management Stage

Products Finishing will showcase the best-run finishing shops in North America with the Top Shops Management Stage at Sur/Fin.

Owners and managers of the Products Finishing Top Shops will be on hand at 1 p.m. June 5 to discuss what makes their plating and anodizing operations some of the most efficient and profitable in the business.

After a short introduction by Editor Tim Pennington that highlights the 2018 Top Shops Benchmarking report, several Top Shops owners and managers will share their success secrets on various components of the shop measurement standards, such as reducing order lead time, improving first-pass inspection rates, and increasing on-time delivery rates.

A special panel session called “30 in 30” will deliver 30 great tips and ideas from Top Shop operators on ways to improve efficiencies in a fast-paced 30 minute presentation. Topics include equipment and technology, best plating practices, human resources and training, and ways to market a plating operation.

The Products Finishing Top Shops will also be recognized during the afternoon presentation, as well as the 2018 Finishing Hall of Fame inductees and the most recent class in the 40-Under-40 recognition program for outstanding young contributors to the finishing industry.

In addition, a special panel from the 40-Under-40 program will discuss how to best network in the finishing industry, as well as tips and suggestions for plating shops to hire and retain the best new talent in the industry.
