Question:
I was wondering if you know of anyone who does barrel electropolishing of small parts? Thanks for your time. J.T.
Answer:
Although I would not want to make personal recommendations regarding specific jobshops (and in your case, I do not have a good resource anyway), I would suggest contacting a couple nonprofit organizations that support the metal finishing community. The National Metal Finishing Resource Center (NMFRC) maintains a public area to their web site where you can search by plating or surface finishing specialty. Their web site is www.nmfrc.org. Although I did not see it on their web site, I know that AESF (American Electroplater’s and Surface Finishers Society) maintains a reference that they send out annually that lists shops by state and by type of surface finishing. They can be contacted at www.aesf.org. Good luck in your search.

NASF/AESF Foundation Research Project #122: Electrochemical Approaches to Treatment of PFAS in Plating Wastewater - 5th Quarterly Report
This paper covers a research grant at the University of Georgia - Griffin on developing electrochemical approaches to remove PFASs present in plating wastewaters, under the direction of Professor Qingguo (Jack) Huang. This fifth quarter report assessed eight PFAAs most commonly found in wastewaters, by electro-oxidation with a Ti4O7 anode across a range of anodic potentials in solutions of different compositions and at varying operating conditions.
