The “time flies” cliché exists for a reason. My kids are gearing up to go back to school and I’m making arrangements for Fall trade shows and conferences. It’s hard to believe that it’s already this time of year — and what a Fall it’s shaping up to be!

Products Finishing is looking forward to this year’s FABTECH in Chicago. Amid a sea of metal forming, welding and fabricating solutions, you’ll find the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) FINISHING Pavilion, presenting the latest finishing technologies, as well as opportunities for networking and exploring the latest trends in the industry. Every year at FABTECH, the PF team enjoys catching up with friends in the industry, making new connections, checking out new products and catching some of the editorial programming. Training and education have always been at the forefront of CCAI’s mission, and the conference program features 27 sessions with expert-led presentations that cover a wide range of technical topics for all finishing professionals. For more information on what you can expect at FABTECH, check out a preview of the event, which you can find here: short.pfonline.com/FABTECH23

Featured Content

If you’re planning to attend FABTECH, be sure to visit the PF booth (D40024). We’d love the opportunity to discuss any potential editorial opportunities, from new product announcements to case studies and feature articles, to an appearance on our On the Line podcast or a guest contributor spot writing one of our Ask the Expert troubleshooting clinics.

PF is also finalizing preparations for the second installment of its Electroless Nickel Conference — an event that saw an incredible reception in 2022. Todd Luciano, VP of Finishing and Valve Media for Gardner Business Media, says, “In October of 2022, we hosted the EN Conference in Indianapolis and had an incredible experience. Afterward, it was clear the demand for both basic and highly technical content related to this process was high. Hosting the event again in 2023 was an easy decision.”

ENC 2023 features more than 20 experts in electroless nickel with the goal of educating and enlightening attendees while also driving the next generation of electroless nickel finishers forward. You’ll gain insights into a variety of different topics, all involving electroless nickel finishing and enjoy networking opportunities designed to help members of the EN community make the right industry connections. In addition, I’ll be presenting on “Finishing Industry Trends and Leveraging Media Outlets” at the NASF Palmetto Southeast Chapter 2023 Fall Technical Conference. The event runs October 4-6 in Folly Beach, South Carolina.

All of this to say that the remainder of the year has much in store and there are plenty of exciting event opportunities that lie ahead. In addition, PF’s editorial planning for 2024 is currently underway. If you happen to be attending any of the aforementioned events and would like to discuss any editorial opportunities in person, please do reach out to set a time to chat. You can email me at sfrancis@pfonline.com. I hope to see you out there.
