Sames North America Launches Nanobell 8 Series
Rotary bell atomizers bring automotive-grade coating performance to a broad range of industrial markets through the 801, 803 and 805 models.
High-performance paint application technology provider Sames North America (Plymouth, Michigan) launches the Nanobell 8 Series, rotary bell atomizers designed to bring automotive-grade coating performance to a broad range of industrial markets.
The Nanobell 8 Series — including the Nanobell 801, 803 and 805 models — builds on Sames’ expertise in automotive finishing. Each model is engineered to deliver optimal atomization, transfer efficiency and reliable performance across fixed, automatic and robotic installations, emphasizing its adaptability.
“With the Nanobell 8 Series, we’re bringing our proven technology from automotive lines into general industrial applications,” says a Sames North America spokesperson.
The Nanobell 8 Series offers several key features. Its productivity and versatility are supported by independent air adjustment, consistent rotation speeds via its T8 air motor and flow capacities up to 800 cc/min to ensure fast, repeatable results across various applications. Sames’ patented bell cup design and HV units enhance wraparound effect and reduce material waste — cutting paint consumption by up to 40% versus conventional airspray systems. Additionally, up to 95% transfer efficiency for maximum material savings on 803 and 805 electrostatic models is possible.
The Nanobell 8 Series also features improved finishing quality. Fine, uniform atomization produces smooth, consistent coating layers, even on complex geometries. And quick-disconnect components, durable internal parts and a contamination-reducing centrifugal effect reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Models include:
- Nanobell 801: Offers high-quality finishing for automatic or robotic installations without high voltage; ideal for simplified integration and lower investment costs.
- Nanobell 803: Features integrated high voltage for maximum electrostatic effect and paint savings; the go-to choice for full wrist robotic applications.
- Nanobell 805: Designed for hollow-wrist robots, this model delivers top-tier performance with high flexibility and easy maintenance.
Engineered with general industry in mind, the Nanobell 8 Series is an ideal fit for manufacturers in metal fabrication, agricultural equipment, appliances, furniture and heavy machinery. Its compatibility with solvent- and water-based coatings enables a seamless transition across diverse production lines — whether coating small parts or large, complex assemblies.
