Professional Plating Inc. (PPI, Brillion, Wisc.) has announced an expansion and investment in new capabilities.

PPI’s second zinc line will be operational by the end of 2023.

General manager Larry Dietz says that an investment of over $4 million is being made on a brand new zinc barrel line that will be online by the end of 2023. Once online, the zinc barrel line will be the second zinc barrel line that will be operational in the company’s Brillion, Wisconsin, facility.

In addition, the company has plans to design, build and install a new epoxy ecoat line to replace its current ecoat equipment. According to Dietz, an investment of $5.3 million is being made with a plan to be operational in July 2024.  In the meantime, the company will continue to run its existing epoxy ecoat machine through the equipment fabrication and installation phases. The new line will be larger than the current machine and have additional features, options and added capacity. The new line will also have additional automation with improved water controls, oil skimming and automated chemical feeds.

“We are pleased to make these investments that will allow the valued team members at PPI to continue to deliver the service levels that our customer base expects of us,” Dietz says.
