The Powder Coating Institute's "Optimizing Your Powder Operation" is a two-day hands-on advanced workshop that focuses on in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the powder coating process. The next class is Aug. 14-15 at Parker Ionics in Westland, Michigan, but registration is due by Aug. 3.

 

 
The fee is $495 for PCI members, and $595 for non-members. A prerequisite for the course is a person with basic knowledge of powder coatings (3 or more years of experience recommended), if you have attended Powder Coating 101.

  • Quality control and test methods
  • System operation and maintenance
  • Drying and curing
  • Booths and recovery systems
  • Manual spraying (faraday, electrostatic rejection, cross contamination, effective use of measurement equipment)
