The Vent-E epoxy flooring system from Dur-A-Flex is intended to bridge the gap between protective and seamless coatings, and other resinous flooring systems. Vent-E’s formulation was designed to provide additional protection to concrete floors that surpass the threshold for moisture and salt content of most epoxy coatings.

As durable as epoxy flooring is, the combination of moisture and salts found in the substrate can be problematic. Vent-E’s permeability is said to permit moisture to move through the slab and coating without causing blemishes or failures. Dur-a-Flex says it also offers many of the same features of other protective epoxy flooring systems, such as stain and wear resistance, dust prevention and easy maintenance.

“We are excited to introduce our latest innovation — a fully breathable epoxy flooring system designed to provide our customers with even more options for installing resinous floors in a variety of spaces,” says Pat Meade, Dur-A-Flex vice president of sales and technical service. “Vent-E is an outstanding product that saves time and money on the job, while creating new opportunities for our customers to grow their businesses.”

The breathable epoxy system is available in nine colors with a semigloss finish. According to the company, Vent-E installs quickly and easily, and is cured for foot traffic in as little as four to six hours. Vent-E can be a solution for commercial buildings, storage areas, warehouse floors, assembly and production areas, and more.
