Products Finishing Top Shops Executive Summit Planned for 2020

Based on the success of the Products Finishing Top Shops Benchmarking Survey held annually to assist shops with determining how they are performing against their peers, Products Finishing will be hosting for the first time next October the Top Shops Executive Summit. It’s where owners and managers of finishing operations throughout North America will discover how to make their facilities more efficient and profitable by sharing ideas and learning from the best in the finishing industry.

The event will be Oct. 20-22, 2020, in Indianapolis, and will be a gathering of the top owners, executives and managers in the finishing industry for a peer-to-peer and face-to-face exchange of ideas and practices on running their business operations in a more efficient and profitable way.

“The focus of the event will be on the business side of the finishing industry, and will target the best practices of the best shops in North America to share their ideas and initiatives with their colleagues,” says Todd Luciano, publisher of Products Finishing. “It will be for the plating market as well as the liquid and powder coating market. This will mark the first time that all sides of the industrial finishing sector will join together to share ideas, learn from their peers and be recognized for their superior operations.”

Recipients of the Products Finishing Top Shops awards will be recognized at the event, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. In addition to presentations from the owners and managers of the best finishing operations in North America, a unique ‘Sourcing Fair’ is being planned to take place during the Products Finishing Top Shops Executive Summit, where representatives from major OEMs will also attend to network with shops and discover if there is a mutual connection for possible partnerships.

Allison Miller, who will be the event director for Products Finishing, says management, production, engineering, designing, procurement, marketing and sales professionals in finishing will all benefit by attending the event.

“We will have industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, general industrial and electronics represented at the Sourcing Fair,” she says. “Those companies involved — or with the potential to be involved — in those parts of the industrial finishing sector will benefit.”
