Haviland Products Co. recently broke ground on a new plating and anodizing pilot line in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that it expects will increase throughput and testing by nearly 400 percent. The new facility will be dedicated to research and development of new finishing processes and should be completed by late this year, the company says. It is the first of a four-part facility upgrade planned for the Grand Rapids location.

“Rather than expanding onto our existing equipment, we are investing in an entirely new set of tanks and equipment,” Regional Sales Manager Dan Church says. “The older buildings have served us well for many years, but our growth demands newer and more expansive space for our next chapter.”
