Nordson will work with the Chinese high-tech construction machinery manufacturer to drive robotic powder coating innovation.
Nordson Industrial Coating Systems is partnering with Zoomlion Group, a Chinese construction machinery manufacturer, to provide robotic powder coating technology for global markets.
The Ohio-based Nordson will provide Zoomlion with powder coating products and technologies for the company’s diverse line of heavy construction machinery. Nordson ICS executives Stephen Lovass, vice president, and Stuart Li, general manager Asia, joined Zoomlion executives at the Changsha, China, headquarters of Zoomlion to finalize the agreement. Zoomlion was represented by Zhan Chunxin, chairman and CEO of Zoomlion Group; Dr. Fu Ling, vice president and general manager of Earthmoving Machinery BU; Tian Bing, assistant president of Zoomlion Group; and other Zoomlion leaders.
“After meeting the leaders of Zoomlion and visiting the Museum of Zoomlion Lugu Industrial Park, I was deeply impressed by Zoomlion's values and innovative products,” says Stephen Lovass, Nordson, vice president. “We are looking forward to cooperating with Zoomlion, not only in China but also in Europe and the United States.”
Zhan Chunxin, chairman and CEO of Zoomlion Group, says that their company is still a young enterprise, but it has high standards for product quality and ambitious goals for enterprise development.
“Zoomlion has decided to build a world-class coating line with Nordson’s first-class products and technologies in our newly developed industrial park in Changsha to realize the advantages of new technology and improved environmental protection,” Chunxin says.
The partners will focus first on two new Nordson technologies: the Encore Engage controller and the Wisdom smart connected platform, along with robotic powder coating featuring Nordson’s Encore HD dense-phase technology. Visit nordson.com.
