The following information is from David’s family:

When diagnosed with cancer four years ago, Dave acknowledged that he had nothing left to do on his "Bucket List". (Proof of a life well lived!) Dave was often known to quip "I'm All In!" at the suggestion of an adventure. He had a passion for motorcycles of all sorts: race bikes, off road, touring, street bikes, etc. If it had an engine and went fast, he was "all in". His need for the open road took him on great motorcycle adventures to Mexico, and throughout the United States.

Dave's love of motorcycling was only surpassed by his love for boating, especially in Door County and off the shores of Milwaukee. Growing up, he spent summers with his family in Door County and learned the ways of the water there. He was the happiest at the helm of his boat with the sun on his face and the wind in his hair. He loved sharing his love for the water with friends and family and was a knowledgeable Skipper. He had his Charter Captain license and skippered his last great adventure in the Virgin Islands earlier this year with his wife and closest friends.

Dave embraced many passions from hunting and fishing to gourmet cooking and fine wines. He loved sharing his interests and knowledge with friends and family.

Dave always found an innate ability to strike a balance between work and play. Until the time of his death, he worked as a Senior Account Executive for DuBois Chemicals. After attending the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Dave began his career working for his father's company, Wright Metal Processors. He quickly learned the finishing industry and had an astute ability for inorganic chemistry and technical sales. He was active in his professional organization, CCAI, for over 30 years, serving leadership roles on both the local and national levels.

Dave and Judy Stocker Brandt married in 2007 and created many wonderful memories together. From the adventures they shared with friends and family or the quiet times alone, they discovered a love together that neither had ever known.

He is survived by his wife Judy, her sons, Jake Brandt of Milwaukee, Luke Brandt of Two Rivers, his sister Judy (George) DeLucia of Rochester, NY and brother James (Susan) Wright of Kewaskum. Other survivors include his mother-in-law Janie (Howard) Hart of Hot Springs Village, AR, sister-in-law Karen Stocker of Muscoda, WI, brothers-in-law Bruce (Cheri) Stocker of Sheboygan and Steve (Nicki) Stocker of Elm Grove, nieces Andrea Majchrzak, Anna (fiancee Joey Phelan) and Alex Stocker, nephews Peter (Amy) DeLucia, Brad Wright and John Wright. Further surviving are other relatives, business colleagues and many dear friends.

Dave was a generous friend, neighbor and husband. He gave of his time, talents and resources and was blessed with wonderful friends and family that he loved dearly. Everyone that knew Dave will be forever touched. His wish to those left behind, "Forget waiting to do things on your Bucket List ... Live today!"
