Custom Fabricating & Supplies (CFS, Franklin, Wis.), supplier of die cuts, custom rubber molded parts, extrusions and masking supplies, has announced the addition of an ISO Class 7 (10,000) certified clean room. The company is a 3M Preferred Converter with over 40 years of experience in surface protection applications such as tapes and plugs as well as seals, mounting & holding, gaskets, spacers, shielding and insulators.

The new clean room is a significant production expansion for CFS and features a Delta ModTech rotary die cutting machine equipped with an inline inkjet printer capable of variable data and barcode printing.

“With the medical wearable market increasing at a 30% year over year rate, we saw a need for additional clean room converting capacity,” says Henry Asik, VP of CFS.

While most often associated with the medical sector, clean room manufacturing is also used by pharmaceutical, electronic, military and LED lighting industries requiring low particulate, humidity and temperature-controlled die cutting services.
