PCI 2024 Board of Directors and Executive Officers

PCI is grateful for these individuals who share their valuable time setting goals and making sure the institute stays on task.

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) announces its 2024 board of directors and executive officers: president: Tom Whalen, vice president sales and marketing, TCI Powder Coatings; V.P.: Bob Cregg, business director North America, Covestro Coating Resins Inc.; secretary/treasurer: Teddy Piepkow, central U.S. and Canada powder sales manager, Nordson Corp.; past president: Shelley Verdun, business manager, powder coatings – Americas region, PPG.

“The PCI board of directors establishes the strategic plan of the organization and where we should focus our efforts,” says PCI Executive Director Kevin Coursin. “PCI is grateful for these individuals who share their valuable time setting our goals and making sure we stay on task. I look forward to continuing to work with them throughout the year.”

PCI is excited to welcome two new board members. Jeff Hale, director of marketing, Gema USA Inc., says, “I am very excited, and it is an honor to be elected to the PCI Board. Throughout my long career with Gema, I have been involved with PCI and I look forward to continuing my contributions assisting PCI to increase awareness and education about the many advantages of powder coatings.” 

PCI also welcomes new board member, Chris Beninati, outside sales manager, Elcometer Inc. “I am excited to rejoin the PCI board and help move PCI’s mission forward.”

Continuing their commitment on the PCI board of directors for 2024, the following individuals provide support and service to benefit the powder coating industry on every level: David Flatten, president and CEO, Inland Powder Coating; Marty Sawyer, CEO, Trimac Industrial Systems, LLC; John Sudges, sales manager, Midwest Finishing Systems Inc.; and Mike Withers, architectural segment leader, Axalta Coating Systems.
