PPG Appoints Vice President of Aerospace Coatings

Sam Millikin will succeed Daniel G. Korte as vice president, aerospace coatings at PPG.

PPG has appointed Sam Millikin as vice president, aerospace coatings, effective Jan. 1, 2024. In this role, Millikin will lead the global strategic business and succeed Daniel G. Korte, senior vice president, PPG aerospace coatings, who intends to retire in the second quarter 2024.

Millikin joined PPG in 1989 and has progressed through various roles during his 34 years including roles in account management, sales and marketing within the company’s specialty coatings and materials business. In 2013, Millikin joined its aerospace packaging business as a global platform business manager with responsibility for strategy development, pricing, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain and engineering/product development. He was named global platform director for the company’s aerospace sealants and packaging business in 2017 where he managed all aspects of this business. In 2020, Millikin was appointed to his role of global platform director of PPG’s aerospace coatings and sealants business.
