Vitracoat, a powder coating supplier, will open a research laboratory in Texas. At the research center, technicians will develop, extrude, grind and blend products plus conduct tests.

Powder coating supplier Vitracoat (Elkhart, Ind.) will open the Innovation Research Center in Houston, Texas. Steve Houston, business director, will head up the innovation programs surrounded by a group of technical experts. Mileidys Bello, national product manager, will lead new product development, supported by Van Miller and qualified lab technicians.
Vitracoat states that the center is a fully functional research laboratory with the ability to develop, extrude, grind and blend products as well as complete physical testing and multiple accelerated tests. The location also features several offices and conference room to host guests. Vitracoat plans to work directly with raw material suppliers to collaborate on new innovations that will broaden the use of thermoset powder coatings.
